Signs you need emergency plumbing.

Common causes.
Frozen pipes
Central Alberta winters can freeze exposed or poorly insulated supply lines, and a frozen pipe that cracks won't leak until it thaws — often making the damage worse before it's noticed.
Aging or corroded lines
Older galvanized or polybutylene piping corrodes and weakens from the inside, and a single failed section can take down pressure to an entire home.
Tree root intrusion
Roots seek out moisture and can work their way into small cracks or joints in a sewer line, gradually restricting flow until a backup happens all at once.
Failed valves or fittings
Shut-off valves and compression fittings have a service life too, and a failure at a fitting is one of the most common sources of a sudden active leak.

- — A section of sewer line has collapsed or is structurally compromised
