Privacy Policy

We only collect what we need to quote, schedule, and complete your job:

• Contact details — your name, phone number, email address, and service address.
• Job details — the service you need, messages you send us, and photos of the work area if you share them.
• Facebook & Instagram information — if you submit a lead form on one of our Facebook or Instagram ads, or message our Page, we receive the information you choose to submit (typically your name, phone number, email, and city) along with your message.
• Call and text records — when you call or text our business line, our phone system records the phone number, time, and duration of the call, and may keep voicemails and text messages.
• Billing information — invoices and payment records. Card payments are processed by our payment provider; we never see or store your full card number.
• Website technical data — like most websites, our hosting provider automatically logs basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, used for security and to keep the site running.

• To respond to your enquiry and prepare estimates.
• To schedule, perform, and follow up on work at your home or business.
• To send invoices and receipts and keep required business records.
• To contact you about your job, including appointment reminders and follow-ups.
• To measure and improve our advertising and website.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

We share information only with service providers that help us run the business, and only as needed for the services they provide to us. These include our website host, customer-management database, business phone system, email, calendar/scheduling, and payment and invoicing providers. Some of these providers may store data outside Canada (for example, in the United States), where it may be subject to the laws of that country.

We may also disclose information when required by law, or to protect our rights, customers, or employees.

We advertise on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram). Information you submit through a Meta lead form or Messenger is shared with us by Meta and is used only to contact you about the service you asked about. Your use of Facebook and Instagram is also governed by Meta’s Privacy Policy. You can control the ads you see in your Facebook and Instagram ad settings.

We keep customer and job records for as long as needed to provide service and warranty support, and to meet tax and legal record-keeping requirements (generally up to seven years). Enquiries that don’t turn into a job are deleted when no longer needed.

Your information is stored with reputable providers that use encryption and access controls, and access within our company is limited to people who need it to serve you. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or withdraw your consent to us contacting you for marketing at any time. To make a request, contact us using the details below. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.

You can ask us to delete the personal information we hold about you — including anything we received from Facebook or Instagram — at any time:

• Email info@firstclassmech.cawith the subject line “Data Deletion Request,” and include your name and the phone number or email you used to contact us; or
• Call us at (587) 715-1280.

We will confirm and complete your request within 30 days. We may need to keep some records (such as invoices) where the law requires it, but we will not use them for any other purpose.

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed.
